About Us

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) is Auspiced by Linked Community Services and funded by the Australian Government. It is a wonderful program that supports volunteer visitors to provide friendship and companionship to older people, to reduce loneliness and isolation. The aim of the ACVVS Program is to enhance the quality of life of an older person (care recipient) living in a Residential Aged Care home or their own private home receiving a Commonwealth subsidised Home Care Package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage with volunteers to ensure quality matches and funded visitor targets are met
  • Maintain positive working relationships with ACVVS Stakeholders
  • Maintain an understanding and awareness of key issues impacting ACVVS participants
  • Assist and coordinate the recruitment, training, orientation and support of new ACVVS volunteers
  • Seek additional volunteering opportunities for the ACVVS Program
  • Provide ongoing support to Linked ACVVS volunteers
  • Collate ACVVS volunteer visitor records in accordance with ACVVS obligations
  • Maintain, organise and schedule training opportunities for ACVVS volunteers
  • Assist and maintain ACVVS databases and reporting portals in ensuring all information and data is current and accurate

About You:

  • Sound understanding of the Aged Care Sector
  • High level personal presentation and punctuality
  • High level of Customer Service
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Organisational, planning, time management skills with attention to detail
  • High level of computer literacy with Microsoft Office and Databases
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence
